The same year Amelia Earhart disappeared, my twin brother and I were born in an Arizona copper-mining town. Five years later, our family moved to Oklahoma, and the rest of my life has been spent in the heartland of America, including the states of Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico and Texas. At the ripe old age of 19, I married a man with black wavy hair, sparkly brown eyes and a gorgeous smile. Six years later, three children had blessed our home; two daughters and a son. They are now productive, compassionate adults, and my heart swells just thinking about them.
Raising our children shaped my basic perceptions of successful parenting. In addition, I hold Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education, as well extensive postgraduate studies. I offer parents advice gained from study and research. As a retired elementary and remedial reading teacher, my many years of experience and training can help parents find solutions.
I want to use my expertise, insight and a tad of common sense to help parents make sure their children succeed in school now, so they will stay in school later.
